Rescue Arrangements

There are three main reasons why employers need to make provisions for rescue arrangements when working at height:

  • Legislation such as ‘’The Work at Height Regulations 2015’’ or the “ The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Part 4: Work at Height” makes it a requirement.
  • As an employer it is your duty and responsibility.
  • A quick rescue is the key to reducing injuries and fatalities.

The “Guidance on rescue during work at height” TGN05, published by WAHSA, provides an invaluable series of informative notes for all industries involved with work at height and rescue.
