Barton has invested heavily in developing a tailor made advanced inspection software package and a RFID tagging solution to ensure that it delivers even more professional, reliable, prompt and thorough services to its wind energy clients.
Each wind turbine contains a multitude of components that require inspection and examination on varying cycles, both at installation stage and during the life of the turbine.
Rugged handheld PDAs allow Barton’s technicians to quickly identify each of the components, to have instant access to the history of every piece of equipment, to capture inspection outcomes and to complete comprehensive inspection reports while on site.
Data, including photographs, is then synchronised from site with Barton’s Inspection bespoke database and software package.
A detailed report of any defect or safety critical item is promptly generated to allow corrective maintenance to be performed promptly and effectively.
Through a dedicated portal, Barton’s customers can monitor and review the inspection history of all components. They have instant access to photographs, critical alerts, documents and reports.
Barton can create bespoke solutions that meet the exact requirements of individual clients wherever they are operating.
